Ben has always been the git-er-done kid. If he decided he wanted to do something, it was pretty difficult persuading him otherwise. As a little boy he’d tell me that when he grew up he was going to build a house that was 8’x8’x8’. He figured that’d be big enough for his woodstove and his bed. What else would he need? In the meantime, he built many forts as practice for this grown-up home of his dreams. From a hole in the ground to slats nailed up a tree to a stilted house with glass windows but no walls Ben has grown up. He’s ready to build his own house. More than ready, he’s doing it. And, he’s decided that 8’x8’x8’ may be just a tad bit too small. And he’s decided indoor plumbing might be nice. Also, a kitchen and maybe a living room. And possibly more than a single size bunk.
